Dust Buster

Bit of a girlie question but do folks use dust busters, hand held cordless vacum, if so what makes are recommended?

I'm after something to use in the car, to keep it decent and save me dragging Henry out onto the drive too often, needs to stand up to dirt and dog hair  My bro has a Dyson but I think £100+ is bit steep!!

Black and decker do one, but I use my Dyson for my car but get Aaron to do it for a few ££ pocket money, failing that hubby does a good job and will wash it to for free :ROFL

we just use the Dyson fo everything.
tip:- if you can get your hands on one of those rubber brushes (like that the hairdressers use) but the smalled handheld version, its so much easier to get dog hair off the carpet in the car!! :D

We've got the Black & Decker dustbuster one, which seemed to have the best reviews, and it isn't bad. But they are all a bit limited I think. This had the best suction/power, apart from the Dyson, and it still seems to be working okay (although I have to admit I hardly use it!!! :D ), a year or two down the line. I don't use it for the car though (I'd need something far more industrial for that! ).

Stick with Henry,Iv'e had one of the B&d battery powered hand helds and to be honest it was like an athsmatic person sucking through a straw.I keep my Henry (more than 12 years old)in the garage for lifting metal fillings, sawdust and everything else,it does the best ever job on the car carpets too

I agree with Henry for the house but was trying to avoid dragging him out and having to lead the cord out of a window and so on!!!!

EE, my mum is just looking at buying one of these now, and after researching with her, she has decided to go with a corded one, as they just seem to be so much better, and don't give up sucking after 2 mins. The Dyson only lasts for 6 mins tops... So, she is going with the Electrolux I think, which weighs about 2.5kg. Says its ideal for pet hairs too! ;)

Not just a job for ladies, since I retired early 3 years ago (48) the only job in the house my wife does is laundry.I do all the other jobs, and I do mean all.Cooking, cleaning hoovering and polishing. You name it I do it,and still find time for shooting ,cars and cameras and weather permitting I do the garden too.
definitely beats the rat race of work and would not swap it for all the tea in China

Ali,

Have you made your purchase yet? Just got a new Dyson Animal.....proper boys toy! Love it, Kim was laughing her head off to see just how excited I was to have a new vaccum!

Can't reccommend it highly enough.

Tim
